Armed police at White Horse Lane, Otham

Armed police and dog handlers swarmed a village just outside of Maidstone after a man was seen allegedly with a weapon.
A large group of officers converged at White Horse Lane in Otham near the White Horse pub, after the man was spotted in Otham Lane, Bearsted. Earlier a helicopter could be heard hovering overhead.
However, officers were satisfied there was no weapon and no arrests have been made.
A Kent Police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called at 1.40pm to an allegation that a man had been seen with a weapon in Otham Lane, Bearsted.
"Officers assisted by a police helicopter attended the area and spoke to a person in connection with the allegations and are now satisfied that there was no weapon.
"No arrests have been made.
