POLICE are hunting three armed men who escaped with cash after a raid at Headcorn Post Office. The balaclava-clad raiders struck at the High Street premises at about 12.45pm yesterday.
It is understood staff at the post office were threatened with a hammer and handed over money. A police spokeswoman said no-one was hurt. Two of the men are described as white and stocky. One was in his 40s with grey hair and the other was in his 30s with brown hair.
The raid was over in a matter of minutes. Maidstone and Malling Police are appealing for anyone who saw the raid to contact them on 01622 690055.
