Man arrested after 19-year-old woman 'grabbed and assaulted' in Bower Place, Maidstone

A man has been arrested after a teenager was reportedly grabbed and assaulted while walking through Maidstone.
The victim, a 19-year-old woman, said she was grabbed by a man in Bower Place between 11.40pm and just before midnight on Friday, before freeing herself and leaving unharmed.
A 35-year-old man from Maidstone was arrested on suspicion of assault shortly afterwards.
He has been released on bail until Thursday, April 25 pending further inquiries.
Investigating officers would like to speak to anyone who was in the Bower Place or Tonbridge Road areas at the time of the incident and may have seen or heard something which might assist them.
Anyone who was driving in either of those roads and has dashcam footage is also asked to come forward.
