A man has been arrested after a woman was left with injuries in a disturbance.

Police were called to a disturbance in Cobb Way, Maidstone, at 2.42pm yesterday.

A spokesman said: "It was reported a woman may have been assaulted and officers went on to locate a woman with a hand injury which was not described as being serious."

A 22-year-old man from Maidstone was arrested on suspicion of assault.

He remains in custody as an investigation continues.
