Three men have been arrested on suspicion of theft after dozens of valuable batteries were recovered from a vehicle police stopped on the M25 near Westerham.
Police patrols made the discovery on Friday after halting the van because they suspected it was overweight.
They have since been linked to a series of thefts from mobile phone masts in west Kent.
Three men, a 52-year-old from Maidstone, and a 33 and 31-year-old, both from Sevenoaks, were arrested on suspicion of theft.
All three have been released on bail until Tuesday, September 8.
