Battle it out in our poster competition
15:56, 24 April 2008
YOUNGSTERS are being urged to help bring the Battle of Maidstone commemorations to life.
We want to decorate the windows of the Kent Messenger office in Middle Row, Maidstone, with pictures to mark the 360th anniversary of the battle on June 1.
So we are inviting schoolchildren in the borough to enter our poster competition.
We have teamed up with Town Centre Management, one of the partners instrumental in organising the festivities, to offer prizes for the best posters on
theme of the battle.
If you win you will reive £200 for your school plus £25-worth of vouchers for yourself. Prizes have been donated by Town Centre Management.
We will display as many posters as possible in the windows of our office during the run-up to the weekend of the re-enactment and themed Proms in the Park.
Find out how to enter our competition in this week's Kent Messenger.
