Burning food sparks fire call in Park Wood, Maidstone

Firefighters broke down the door of a ground floor flat after burning food set off an alarm.
Crews were called to Wrangleden Road, Park Wood, just before 2.30pm yesterday.
They forced their way into the property and discovered the smoke was coming from food which had been left cooking unattended.
They left the scene about 15 minutes later.
