Bus damaged in crash in Bell Road, Maidstone

A road was partially closed off as emergency services dealt with a crash involving a bus.

The incident happened shortly after 6pm in Bell Road, Maidstone.

A photo shows an Arriva 82 bus with part of its side smashed at the junction between Brishing Lane and Francis Lane.

Witnesses said police, paramedics and fire crews were at the scene.

Part of the route was cordoned off while the incident was investigated.

Speaking online, one person said: "Big crash [in] Bell Road near Francis Lane.

"Glass everywhere, hectic round there - hope everyone is okay".

It is not yet known if anyone was injured in the crash.

Traffic information provider Inrix said a car was also involved.

Emergency services and Arriva have been contacted for more information.

The road cleared shortly before 8pm.
