A busy road is shut due to an accident between a motorcycle and a van that damaged an electricity pole.
The A274 Sutton Road in Langley, Maidstone, is closed between Horseshoes Lane and the B2163 Leeds Road from the Plough pub to the Potting Shed.
Police and paramedics were called shortly after 7.30am following the collision.
The motorcyclist and his passenger were treated for injuries at the scene and taken to hospital for further medical attention.
The road is closed to traffic while a police investigation into the circumstances is underway.
UK Power Networks engineers also attended due to damage to an electricity pole and cables.
There was a brief power cut while repairs were being made, but electricity was restored by 9am.
A spokesperson for Kent Highways aid: “The road will remain closed until this is made safe and Kent Police have concluded their investigations.”
