Children in Need events in Maidstone, Malling and the Weald
14:14, 13 November 2015
Schools and workplaces across the country are holding Children in Need events today, and our area is no different.
People dressed up, baked cakes and created works of art to raise cash for disadvantaged youngsters in the UK.
Our photographers have been out and about taking pictures of as many events as possible.
At St James the Great Academy in East Malling, pupils dressed as superheroes, with Batman proving a particularly popular choice.
Coffee, cakes and fancy dress were on the menu at hairdressers Cut Above in Headcorn High Street, including an impressive, edible replica of Pudsey, the BBC charity's teddy bear mascot.
Meanwhile, artist David Williamson displayed his work at Lloyds Bank in Week Street, Maidstone, as he prepared to auction it for the charity.
If you'd like your event to feature in our Children in Need coverage in next week's Kent Messenger, email photos, details and a phone number to messengernews@thekmgroup.co.uk
