Can you contribute to school's time capsule?

AN APPEAL has gone out to former pupils at Brunswick House School at Maidstone to help provide memories for a time capsule which is to be buried in February. Teachers at the school, in Buckland Road, are planning to bury a capsule in the walls of a new building providing 14 new classrooms on the existing site.
Carolle Allman, a teaching assistant, said the current school was housed in a 19th century building and 1950s huts, and that many ex-pupils would have memories of the old buildings. Building work began on the project in February and it is hoped work will be finished by April next year.
In February, a time capsule will be sealed into one of the walls of the new building. Mrs Allman hopes the capsule will be filled with recollections of earlier school days. "It would be nice to hear from any former pupils and any memories they have from as far back as possible," she said. "In 40 years' time, recent pupils will be history, so it's a nice research project."
Anyone with memories of the school is asked to telephone 01622 752102.
