A driver was seen to by paramedics this morning following a one car accident on Sutton Road.

The accident happened at 5.50am on the stretch between St Saviour's Road and Willington Street.

The car involved was a Mazda 6 and it is understood to have hit some railings.

A police spokesman said no arrests have been made and the vehicle has been recovered.

The driver's injuries are not thought to be serious.
