Car blaze man dies

A MAN who was rescued from a burning car next to his house has died. The 49-year-old man from Fairbourne Lane, Harrietsham, near Maidstone, received 85 per cent burns when flames engulfed the car in which he was sitting, just metres from his house on Saturday December 1.
He was rescued by firefighters and taken to a specialist burns unit in Essex where he underwent emergency surgery.
His condition did not improve and he died at the weekend. Police are not treating the fire as a suspicious.
