Car crash outside police station in Maidstone

A car has crashed into a wall outside a police station.

Police and paramedics rushed to Palace Avenue in Maidstone where a Renault Clio smashed into the wall outside the station in Maidstone.

Video footage shows the front bumper and bonnet of the car severely smashed and dented.

The door on the driver's side has also been smashed in, left hanging partly open.

One officer swept up the broken glass and debris while another spoke to witnesses.

The ambulance arrived just after 1.40pm. Paramedics were seen talking to two women and a man.

The man and one women then got into a ambulance.

An eyewitness said: "The silver car was in front of us in the left hand lane.

"The driver tried to turn right into the car park and a car hit her from behind and she went into the wall."

Kent Police said: "We received a call at around 12.30pm regarding a collision involving two cars on Palace Avenue, Maidstone.

"Officers attended and no serious injuries were reported. The road was clear by 2.30pm"
