Car driver dies in crash

POLICE today appealed for witnesses to a two-vehicle crash which claimed the life of a car driver.
The accident happened in London Road, Wrotham Heath, at about 9.40pm last night when the man's Ford Escort was in collision with a Transit van.
The driver of the Escort, who was in his 50s and from the Dartford area, was taken to Maidstone Hospital but pronounced dead on arrival.
The driver of the van was also taken to hospital with head injuries which are not life-threatening.
