10:00, 15 January 2014
This is the moment a car became a fireball in Maidstone town centre this morning.
The vehicle burst into flames in Sheal's Crescent at shortly after 8.50am.
Firefighters battled the blaze, but the car was left a burnt-out wreck.
The fire, at the Postley Road junction, caused delays for motorists on the one-way system.
Kent Highways said a lane was closed and urged drivers to expect congestion throughout the morning.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service crews were at the scene for about 20 minutes.
