A car fire at a hospital is causing disruption this morning.
Arriva says its bus service 3 is unable to service the grounds of Maidstone Hospital in Barming due to the blaze.
Instead, the bus will stop in Hermitage Lane at the closest available stop to the Hospital.
One fire engine was called to the scene at around 7.45am and left an hour later.
A spokesman said: “Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a car fire at Maidstone Hospital, off Hermitage Lane, in Maidstone.
“One fire engine attended and crews wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using hose reel jets. No injuries were reported.”
The police and Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals have been approached for more information.
Arriva Kent tweeted at 8.17am: “There is currently a car fire at Maidstone Hospital causing delays to our service 3.
“Whilst this is going on we will not be able to serve the hospital grounds.
“We are going to stop on Hermitage Lane at the closest available stop to the hospital.”
