Carol Service, Chequers Centre, Maidstone, Sunday, December 8
15:49, 04 December 2002
Last Christmas the Kent Messenger, in association with St Luke’s Church, Maidstone held a very successful Carol Concert in the Chequers Centre, Maidstone. Almost 2,000 people joined us for the event, which raised a considerable amount of money for local charities.
This year we are organising another Carol Service which we hope will be even more successful than the last. It will take place at the Chequers Centre on Sunday 8th December 2002 from 6.3Opm. The music will be provided by St Luke’s Church Band and by the KM Band.
We hope Maidstone school choirs will also sing with us. This year the money raised will go to the Mayor’s Charities — Five Acre Wood School and Cobtree Hall Playschool for disabled children. If you were with us last year, please come again. If not, please join us anyway!
