Four arrested over bid to rob ATM at Barclays in Borough Green
12:30, 28 November 2013
Four men have been arrested today on suspicion of attempting to rob a cash machine in Borough Green.
They were held by police outside Barclays, in Station Road, at about 2.30am.
The four - in their 30s - are to be questioned by detectives from the Metropolitan Police's Flying Squad.
A Scotland Yard spokesman said they have been taken into custody at a south London police station.
Police left the scene at about 10am, but an investigation is ongoing.
It comes a week after a similar attempt to raid the same ATM last Thursday, when the machine is understood to have been tampered with overnight.
