Cashpoint thieves in raid at hospital
10:48, 16 April 2004
HOSPITAL chiefs have promised to review security after raiders broke into a cashpoint machine stealing hundreds of pounds.
The incident took place in the main foyer of Maidstone Hospital in Hermitage Lane.
A spokesman said: "The two men involved were disturbed by hospital porters and ran off. "There was a considerable amount of money on the floor.
"We are still studying our CCTV pictures and liaising with police. The general level of security at the hospital is very high but we will be carrying out a general review in that area."
