A person has been taken to hospital following an incident at a prison.
Four emergency vehicles were spotted outside the entrance to HMP Maidstone last night (August 15).
A video shows several incident response units parked up outside the jail in County Road.
One witness said they heard an alarm going off from inside the building, which can also be heard in the clip.
The ambulance service said: “We were called at approximately 8pm yesterday to reports of a person in need of medical attention at HM Prison in Maidstone.
“Crews assessed and treated one person at the scene before taking them to Maidstone Hospital for further medical treatment.”
A spokesperson from the Ministry of Justice confirmed it was a low-level medical incident and would not be commenting further.
HMP Maidstone is a category C men’s prison for foreign nationals serving sentences for criminal offences.
