Police seized catapults from a car and arrested two men following reports of criminal damage to vehicles in Yalding and Marden this afternoon.
Patrols responded to a report of a vehicle driving erratically in Loddington Lane, Linton at around 3.15pm, when it was alleged someone was firing objects from the vehicle, possibly in the direction of sheep.
Officers attended and following a search of the area stopped a Volkswagen Polo in Courtenay Road, Tovil.
A search of the car and occupants led to the discovery of catapults, as well as stones.
The men, aged 19 and 21 and from the Coxheath area, were arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and for possessing offensive weapons in a public place.
They were both later released, pending further investigation.
The arrests are in connection to a number of offences reported between March 8 and March 28.
