Arrest after reports of indecent behaviour at Mote Park in Maidstone

An arrest has been made after a man allegedly made lewd comments towards three women and followed one of them.

Police are investigating after the suspect is said to have followed a woman around Mote Park, in Maidstone, on the morning of July 24.

He reportedly made comments towards her before leaving the park via Deringwood Drive towards Mallards Way.

Two further incidents were reported where a man allegedly made indecent suggestions to separate women at around 7pm on August 2 and 6.30pm on August 5.

Police believe they may be connected.

This afternoon, a police spokesman said: “A local man in his 40s was arrested on suspicion of public order offences.”
