EMERGENCY services were called to two accidents within the space of 60 seconds causing chaos on roads leading into Maidstone.
The first smash between a van and a car happened at about 8.29am at the junction of Boxley Hill with Harp Farm Road.
Firefighters from Maidstone used cutting gear to release the driver of one of the vehicles, who is understood to have sustained whiplash injuries.
Boxley Hill, a busy route for traffic travelling between Maidstone and the Medway towns, was closed for over an hour.
Further traffic disruption was caused following a second accident at 8.30am when a car flipped onto its roof on Rochester Road, Burham. No-one was injured.
The road was also closed with police diverting Maidstone bound traffic onto Pilgrims Way towards Eccles.
