Child taken to hospital after being hit by car on Loose Road, Maidstone

A child had to be rushed to hospital after being hit by a car.
The young girl, who is understood to have been with a group of people at the time, was struck at traffic lights on Loose Road, Maidstone.
She was assessed by the South East Coast Ambulance Service and taken to a London hospital via ambulance for treatment and was later discharged.
It happened on Sunday at around 4.40pm.
A 37-year-old man from Maidstone was arrested at the scene on suspicion of dangerous driving.
He has been released pending further investigation.
Investigating officers would like to speak to any witnesses who have not yet come forward or anyone with dashcam footage at the time of the crash.

The child's mother has spoken of the horror as she watched her daughter flip 15-feet in the air.
