Adult and child treated after fire in Edna Road, Maidstone

An adult and a child were given precautionary checks by paramedics after a fire broke out this evening.
It happened in the laundry room of a property in Edna Road, Maidstone.
Crews were called at around 6.10pm.
Firefighters, wearing breathing apparatus, used a high-pressure hose to put out the flames and a powerful fan to drive smoke and fumes from the area.
They left the scene just over an hour later.
No further details have been released.
