A group of children who were so inspired by Maidstone United’s historic FA Cup achievement were invited down to meet the team after some special arts and crafts.
Youngsters from Willows Adventures, which is based in the town, recreated a large version of the club’s badge with their hand prints and paint.
They were invited down to the Gallagher Stadium to meet George Elokobi and his cup heroes after someone at the club caught wind of the display, which will now be displayed at the ground.
A spokesman for Willows Adventures said: “We have been basing all our activities this week on the history makers. One of our craft activities was using all the children’s hand prints to construct a large badge.
“They also offered us the chance to meet the manager and the players. We are incredibly grateful for this opportunity, and to have our craft display up in the stadium.”
Maidstone United recorded a historic victory over Ipswich Town on Saturday to move into the Fifth Round of the competition.
