Firefighters are reminding people to make sure their chimneys are swept regularly following a fire at a home.
Two fire engines and a height vehicle were sent to the incident in Wheelers Lane, Linton, near Maidstone today.
Crews used portable water tanks and chimney gear to extinguish the flames.
No injuries were reported.
Following the incident, which started just after 4pm, the fire service is reminding people with fireplaces, log burners and coal fires to have their chimneys swept regularly.
A spokesman said: "By having your chimney and flue swept and inspected routinely, you can help to prevent a chimney fire and structural damage to your property.
"If you burn logs, you should have this done at least twice a year. If you burn coal, you should have this done at least once a year."
Crews left the scene at around 5.30pm.
