Cinemagoers were left in shock after two women got into a fight during the Barbie movie.
The mood was more red than pink at the Odeon cinema in Maidstone at the weekend as tempers flared.
Two women, who are believed to be parents, were spotted rowing before they pushed each other and one was slapped in the face.
People watched on, popcorn in hand, as one of the women stormed towards the second lady, getting face to face with her, and exchanging insults.
As tension heightened the pair exchanged pushes before one was hit in the face.
An eyewitness said: “Only in Maidstone could this happen during the Barbie movie.”
They claimed the argument broke out due to one of the woman’s children getting into the screening without a ticket.
When asked if the movie was stopped, the woman explained: “Yeah, then they got kicked out I think and they started it again. We all got a refund and free ticket for another movie.”
More than 120,000 people have watched the video on TikTok.
The film, which stars Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling, was released in the UK on Friday, July 21.
An Odeon spokesman said: “This is a police matter and we cannot comment any further at this time”.
Police confirmed they were called to the cinema at 6.50pm to reports a woman had assaulted another woman at a cinema in Barker Road.
A spokesman said: “The suspect left the premises following the incident and an investigation is underway into the circumstances.”
