A suspected drug dealer has been released by police after they seized what is thought to be cocaine and ecstasy.
The suspect was arrested after Police Community Support Officers patrolling Maidstone town centre spotted a man acting suspiciously in The Mall on Monday.
Arriving at the scene, the two PCSOs spotted an 18-year-old running toward an exit.
He was followed to the bus station area and stopped, where police seized a rucksack with five bags of suspected cocaine and a packet of full suspected ecstasy tablets.
A police officer was called to the scene to arrest the teenager on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.
He was later released under investigation.
