THE public's help is being sought to trace a 14-year-old girl who has been missing for more than two weeks.
Jennifer Gurr was last seen when she left her home in Maidstone for school on Thursday, June 29. She told her mother she would be staying at a friend's house until Sunday but failed to return home.
Jennifer has made some mobile phone contact with her parents since her disappearance but her whereabouts are still unknown.
Police say they are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare.
She is white, with a fair complexion, around 5ft tall, of medium build with brown eyes. She has straight, shoulder-length brown hair with blonde hair underneath.
When last seen Jennifer was wearing her school uniform, which consists of a green jacket, a green and gold tue, white shirt and black trousers.
Jennifer’s mother Caroline Gurr said: "It is now two weeks since Jennifer went missing. We want to let her know that she is not in any trouble but we are obviously very keen to have her safely back at home with us as soon as possible."
Det Insp Dave Berry said: "We are confident that she will return home safely and want to reassure her that she will not be in any trouble."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police in Maidstone on 01622 604202.
