BT says its internet users should now be back up and running after a major outage.
People across the UK were left without broadband earlier today, after the service stopped working around 2pm.
Now the telecoms giant says nearly every customer has been reconnected.
A large number of people experienced problems earlier, with engineers working for a couple of hours to rectify the issue.
BT insists there is no evidence to suggest it was subjected to a malicious attack.
But Twitter was flooded with complaints from customers who said they were struggling to connect.
BT's website was also down for a period of time. The company posted on one of its Twitter accounts apologising to customers.
It said: "Sorry if you are experiencing network problems. Engineers are on site now. We will keep you updated."
At 4pm Downdetector, a website which monitors internet failures, had recorded more than 18,000 reports of lost connectivity.
