Maidstone: Police investigation launched after possible arson attack in Vanity Lane, Coxheath
08:55, 13 October 2015
Police have launched an investigation after two suspected arson attacks in Coxheath.
Crews were called to Vanity Lane just before 7pm yesterday to deal with a blaze involving two buildings used as a workshop and storage area.
Firefighters had put out the blaze after a few hours, only to be called back to the same property in the early hours of Tuesday morning to reports of a second blaze.
Two further crews used breathing apparatus and hose reel jets to bring the fire, which also started in an outbuilding used to store a car, under control.
Crews spent three hours at the scene before leaving around 5.30am.
A police spokesman confirmed they were alerted to the incident in the early hours of the morning and are treating the fire as suspicious.
No arrests have yet been made.
There were no reported casualties.
