AWARD-WINNING presenter Chris Tarrant has agreed to make a special Christmas radio programme for Kent – and he wants your help.

The three-hour show will be broadcast on Christmas Day on the KM Group’s seven radio stations.

The host of hit TV shows, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and Tarrant on TV, is hoping our readers and listeners will tell him their funny, quirky or downright disastrous Christmas stories.

He will add them to the mix of festive music and chat for the show, which will start at 9am on Christmas Day. It will be broadcast on the six kmfm stations, CTR (County Town Radio, Maidstone), which recently joined the KM Group, and KM Digital radio.

He will present the show with his daughter, Fia, who is a breakfast time presenter on Ashford’s kmfm station.

Penny Williams, head of radio, said: “When Fia came to us a few months ago and said she wanted to do a show with her dad on Christmas Day we were over the moon.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for Chris and Fia as they have never worked together before and, as far as we’re aware, it’s an industry first for a father and daughter to do a radio show together.

“Chris has told us he listens to Fia online and whenever he is in Kent and is really proud of her.”

Fia added: “We’ll be playing some great Christmas music and talking about what Christmas means to all of us.

“We hope your readers and kmfm listeners will help us get into the right spirit with their Christmas stories.”
