Crash between car and van causes M20 gridlock

A crash between a van and a car on motorway has caused gridlock.
The incident happened on the M20 coastbound at Junction 4, joining onto the A228 towards Leybourne and Snodland at about 4.20pm.
Police officers, who attended the scene, confirmed there were no injuries.
A spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to a report that two vehicles had collided on the M20 coast-bound, between junctions 4 and 5, at 4.22pm.
"Lane three of the carriageway was briefly blocked, however, the vehicles involved have now been moved onto the hard shoulder.
"At present no injuries have been reported."
