Crash caused heavy delays in Maidstone town centre

A crash caused rush hour delays on the town centre’s busy one-way bridge system.
A collision between a lorry and a car near Bridges restaurant, sparked tailbacks in and around the Broadway his morning.
No-one was injured in the smash, which happened at about 8.45am.
Both vehicles pulled over but one lane was partially blocked. The incident caused queues to form in Fairmeadow, Bishops Way and the A20 London Road. The road was cleared by 9.30am but traffic took longer to clear.
