Crash leads to town centre gridlocked

MAIDSTONE town centre was gridlocked early this morning after two cars collided on the one-way system.
The accident happened on Broadway, near to the River Bar, shortly after 7am. The two cars involved, both red Vauxhall Corsas, blocked an entire lane.
By 9am, police officers were still at the scene and neither car had been moved. Long queues began to form on all approaches to the town.
It is not thought anyone was injured in the incident.
