Maidstone: Traffic misery for commuters

Drivers heading into Maidstone have been caught up in the fallout out from several serious incidents on key roads this morning.
There are long delays on the A249 with queues going back to the Stockbury Roundabout and slow moving traffic on the A20 westbound back to Junction 8 for Leeds.
It's believed the queues are a result of drivers attempting to avoid the lorry fire on the A2 which blocked all three lanes of the London-bound carriageway.
Elsewhere there has been a two-car crash on the M2 between Chatham and Strood.
Further south in Marden, Church Green was partially blocked near the memorial hall. It is not yet known if anyone has been injured.
