Two swans shot and dumped in woodland in Wrotham

Two swans have been found dead in woodland... both apparently shot in the neck.
Police are appealing for information after a member of the public discovered the two birds while out walking in woods near Wrotham at around 11.20am on Saturday.
Both had been dumped in woodland off Terrys Lodge Road with shot marks to the neck.
PC Daphne Allen said: “The death of these swans was no accident. They have been deliberately shot through the neck and dumped.
“The animals did not have any identification rings around their legs to suggest where they had come from.
"They may have been shot locally, or they may have been hunted in the wild and then their bodies driven to the location and left there."
She said the swans may have been there for a while. The RSPCA has been informed.
Anyone with information should contact PC Allen on the 101 number, quoting incident reference 11-520.
