Drivers are warned of delays following two crashes on the same stretch of motorway.
The first collision, involving a car and a lorry, happened on the coast-bound M20 at junction 7 for Detling and the A249 at 2.30pm.
One lane was blocked and emergency services called, but noone was injured.
The second accident, which happened less than half an hour later, happened in the London-bound carriageway between junction 8 for Leeds Castle and junction 7 for Detling.
Two cars were involved and a lane was closed while police attended.
It is the third crash in just an hour on Kent's motorways. Traffic was held on the M25 shortly before 3pm after a collision involving three cars between junction 5 for the M26 and 6 for Godstone.
