Delays expected between Hollingbourne and Maidstone on M20 as thousands head to Super Car Siege at Leeds Castle

Motorists faced delays on the M20 today as thousands travel to super car event.
Traffic was queuing on the coast-bound carriageway from Junction 8 for Hollingbourne back to Junction 7 for A249 Detling Hill, from around 10am.
The congestion continued off the motorway onto the A20 in Hollingbourne, towards Leeds Castle, where a Supercar Siege is taking place.
Speaking this morning, head of events Alysha Sargent said: "We're doing everything we can to get people moving.
"Every gate is open and every field is open. It's all hands on deck. Please bear with us."
Traffic started to ease in the area at around 2.30pm but there an large number of vehicles in the area.
The popular event includes displays of high performance vehicles, trade stands, rides, and a performance from the Royal British Legion Central Band.
The annual show, which in its third year, is in aid of The Royal Navy and Royal Marines Children’s Fund.
