A food delivery service will launch in another Kent town.
Deliveroo already operates in Canterbury, Sevenoaks, and Tunbridge Wells, and will today start delivering food around Maidstone.
Hungry County Town residents will be able to order their favourite dishes from more than 15 local restaurants including Kokoro, Cafe Rouge, Bill's, Gem of Kent, Deep Blue, Vesuvius, Wingos, and more.
More than 50 riders will take to the streets over the first year, delivering restaurant food to residents' doors within 30 minutes.
Caroline Hazlehurst at Deliveroo said: "We’re extremely excited to be launching in Maidstone and we’re looking forward to bringing some of the town’s delicious dishes straight from the hands of local chefs to customers’ doors.
"You’ll now be able to spot our riders around Maidstone in their hyper-reflective kit who will bring food from our restaurants straight to customers’ doors.
"Locals can order from the fantastic variety of restaurants in Maidstone, whatever they want, whenever they want, all from the comfort of their own home, office desk or wherever else hunger strikes.
"We already have a number of great restaurants on board and we are excited to expand and widen our offering in Maidstone over the course of the next year."
Deliveroo makes its money by charging restaurants a commission and adding a fee for customers.
It works with more than 100 restaurants in Kent, with 75% being independent.
More than 200 riders work for the company in the county.
