A delivery driver convicted of exposing himself to three women will have to wait a month to learn his fate.
Dumitru Falfan, 40, of Charles Street, Maidstone, left his victims shocked and disgusted after he flashed at them during a spate of incidents in the Aylesford area in January and February.
The Romanian national, described by one of his targets as looking like a cross between comedian Rich Hall and bartender Moe from The Simpsons, approached women on residential streets and performed a sex act in front of a mum on the school run with her three-year-old daughter in tow.
She told the court how she shouted at him and ordered him to cover up. A news report of the incident prompted two more women to come forward.
One told the court how Falfan, who had no previous convictions, followed her to her car near a railway station and exposed himself in front of the wing mirror as he sauntered past.
Another described an encounter in Lake Road. She said: “He had his hands in his pockets and was staring really intensely at me. I looked down to avoid eye contact, and that’s when I saw his trousers were undone and he was exposed.”
Maidstone Magistrates’ Court heard how the Hermes driver, based at the Mills Road depot, returned to the scene of his crimes where he was seen by his victims. Two sent photos of him to police.
Leanne James, prosecuting, read out a victim impact statement, in which one woman said her encounter left her shocked and uncomfortable, while another stopped using trains altogether and started carrying a personal alarm.
Falfan, who spoke through an interpreter, claimed he was at work at the time of the offences but was last week found guilty of three counts of exposure.
David Mann, chairman of the bench, warned Falfan he could go to prison because of the seriousness of his crimes and their proximity to children. Sentencing is due on January 5.
