AN INVESTIGATION has been launched into the death of a 57-year-old man from Vinters Park in Maidstone.
Harold Gibson was found dead at his house in Alkham Road, where he lived alone, last Wednesday.
Maidstone and Malling Police did not initially treat his death as suspicious but have now opened an inquiry. Officers are keen to track Mr Gibson's movements in the days leading up to his death - from Sunday, June 22.
In particular, they believe he may have been involved in some kind of argument in the Vinters Park area. Anyone who saw men arguing or any other kind of disturbance are asked to contact police with details, especially if they believe Mr Gibson was involved.
Mr Gibson was white, about 5ft 5in and stocky. He had dark hair which was greying in places and was clean shaven and well spoken.
Maidstone and Malling Police can be contacted on 01622 608189 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
