09:35, 11 April 2016

Shoppers have been left stunned after a model made entirely of sellotape was spotted on a bench in Maidstone town centre.

Some have stopped for selfies with the life-size art installation in Week Street.

Emily Magid, who works at nearby River Island, said she spotted it yesterday morning.

It is unclear who made the sculpture and it wasn't on the bench on Monday morning.

It isn't the first odd piece of art work to be spotted around the County Town. This car was wrapped in Sports Direct carrier bags in September 2014.

Also in 2014, Bluewater shoppers were stunned when another car was wrapped in cellophane.
