Dog walker finds man's body

THE discovery of the body of a man in his 40s on open ground in Barming, near Maidstone, is not being treated by police as suspicious.
A member of the public walking a dog alerted police after finding the body on the recreation area off Gatland Lane at 7.30am last night. Maidstone and Malling Police spokeswoman, Gianna Pollero, said: "We do not believe the death to be suspicious in any way."
A post mortem examination will be conducted on the body of the man, whose name has not yet been released.
