A 29-year-old driver has died after his Citroen Saxo crashed with a tractor in a small village.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the crash at Faversham Road near Woodside Green in Lenham, at just before 10am yesterday.
The green John Deere tractor with a blue trailer was travelling along the road from Doddington when it crashed with the blue Saxo.
The Citroen driver, from the Ashford area, was fatally injured and pronounced dead at the scene.
The road was closed for at least five hours while officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit examined the scene.
Anyone who saw the crash and has not yet spoken to police is asked to call the Serious Collision Investigation Unit’s Witness Appeal line on 01622 798538.
Officers are particularly interested in speaking to the driver of a dark 4x4 - a Ford Ranger Wildtrack that was black on top and tan/brown below, towing an Ifor Williams trailer.
