A police drone helped officers find a man suspected to have abandoned his vehicle after driving under the influence of drugs.
The specialist equipment was used after police spotted a van being driven on the wrong side of the road in Detling, near Maidstone, just after 10pm on Monday (October 2).
The vehicle did not stop and after a short pursuit was discovered empty on a track just off Blue Bell Hill.
As officers and a police dog searched the area, the drone picked up a figure moving within a nearby line of trees.
The suspect, aged 27 from Staplehurst, was arrested on suspicion of driving offences including dangerous driving, failing to stop for police and driving under the influence of drugs.
He was later released on bail pending further inquiries until Wednesday, January 3 .
