Drugs factory to be destroyed

Cannabis plants are to be destroyed after Kent Police dismantled a drugs factory in Loose.
Around 70 plants and cultivating equipment including lamps and fans were found when Kent Police executed a warrant at an outbuilding in Salts Lane, Loose, on Tuesday, June 12.
Officers were acting on information suggesting cannabis was being grown in the property, and the raid forms part of ‘Operation Infinite’ - which is running across Maidstone throughout the summer to target drug use.
Detective Constable Chris Scott from Kent Police said: "We will continue to shut down cannabis factories and seek to continue our high success rate in detecting drug-related crime. This production facility was a professional set up, capable of producing high quality cannabis. It is very satisfying when criminals are disrupted in this manner and Kent Police will continue to work with the people of Kent in making their county an even safer place to live and work. We are grateful to the continued support we receive from members of the public and investigations are ongoing into locating those involved in producing the cannabis."
Anyone who suspects illegal drugs activity to be taking place in their community is asked to contact Kent Police on 101, or call Kent Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
