Three people had to be taken to hospital following a three-car accident earlier today.
Emergency services were called to the crash in Barming, near Maidstone.
An eyewitness has described seeing at least three ambulances at the scene and a police officer on foot trying to control the traffic on Tonbridge Road, close to The Bull pub.
Kent Fire and Rescue Service says its crews used battery-operated equipment to remove a door from one of the cars to create space for paramedics to assess one casualty inside the vehicle.
The crash happened at about 11.40am.
A spokesman for Kent Police said: "Officers attended along with fire and ambulance crews. The road was temporarily closed until 3.20pm."
A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: "Ambulance crews attended the scene and three patients were taken to hospital after being assessed and treated at the scene."
